most embarrassing thing that has happened to me, ever

Confusing Raymonds Carver and Chandler in an email, in such a way that I look like a complete idiot who has never opened a book by either author. Is it socially acceptable to cop to my mistake, or will that just make me look like an even bigger asshole?

  3. almostepistles said: i have done this too many times. and once confused jeff buckley for christopher buckley, which was an even bigger disaster. it is totally socially acceptable to cop to your mistake.
