In a moment of synchronicity so too good to be true that it could only be true, I happened to be walking by 560 State Street when “Empire State of Mind” came up on shuffle. Unfortunately, at that particular juncture of my life, my rain boots had filled up with water and how I felt about this concrete jungle had nothing to do with dreams.
